This update introduces three features that bring Windows gaming handhelds closer to console-level reliability: Instant Wake, Universal Pause, and Over-The-Air Updates. Built and tested on the ASUS ROG Ally X, Lenovo Legion Go, and MSI Claw.
Instant Wake
Windows handhelds have long struggled with sleep/wake reliability. Instant Wake solves this by freezing the game's process when entering sleep mode and resuming instantly upon waking.
The system also automatically reduces TDP during sleep and restores your power settings on wake, keeping battery drain to a minimum while your device rests.
Universal Pause
Accessible through the overlay game menu, Universal Pause lets you freeze any game's process with a single button press. Works across Steam and Game Pass titles.
This is designed for single-player experiences. Competitive multiplayer games should not be paused this way.
Over-The-Air Updates
Starting with version 1.016, Winhanced will deliver automatic update notifications and installation directly within the application. No more manual downloads.
