0.9.9.8 Latest September 4, 2026

Winhanced 0.9.9.8 is the biggest update since the Store. Opening the friends details panel now matches the store and game details panels with its own dynamic dock, and messaging your friends on Discord, Steam, Xbox and PlayStation without leaving Winhanced enters early access. The OneXPlayer 3 becomes a fully supported handheld with TDP, fan control, RGB lighting, vibration and full controller remapping. And the way Winhanced sets power limits on every handheld was rebuilt from measured numbers instead of guesswork. Additionally the Library backend was reworked to be more consistent, and I have gutted about 20k total lines of old dead code buildup.

✦ Leaving Early Access

  • Emulators and ROM library. ROM folder import, the My Games view on each console, console icons and RetroAchievements are now available to everyone
  • The Layout system. Both home layouts drop their experimental label, and the layout switch in Settings > General is open to everyone
  • Ubisoft Connect, Battle.net, EA and Amazon libraries are now available to everyone and have their own settings pages with a status block and Resync, and they notice a new install while Winhanced is open instead of after a restart

✦ Coming to Early Access

  • Friend messaging. Hold a conversation with a friend inside Winhanced on Discord, Steam, Xbox and PlayStation, and they all work the same way. PlayStation history goes back nearly four years and Xbox over 1,700 days. Discord shows about 60 messages because Discord's own kit only keeps 72 hours. A message you send appears right away, a message that arrives twice is shown once, and a platform that needs a sign-in gives you the button instead of a send that quietly does nothing
  • Unread messages. The Friends hub gets a New Messages section at the top, and any friend with something waiting moves up into it. There is a badge on the friend row and on the Message button. Steam gives an exact count, the others a dot. Reading a Steam conversation marks it read on Steam too, and the background service does the counting so badges are already right when you open Winhanced
  • Friend Status drawer. What a friend is doing right now, in full: the game, how long they have been in it, party size, and whatever the game itself reports (usually their character, rank or mode). Under that, the last game they played and when, from their whole library rather than only the games you share
  • Friend Profile drawer. The friendship, measured. How much of your library they own, the hours you have put into shared games, which one you have played most, an achievement comparison between the two of you, and a link out to their platform profile. An affinity score rolls it into one number and tells you which parts it could measure. Discord friends get tiles about the friendship plus a Recently Seen Playing list built from what Winhanced has noticed them in
  • Set a nickname for any friend. Xbox, PlayStation and Discord never offered this anywhere. Your existing Steam and Discord nicknames are picked up automatically, your own edit always wins, and it shows everywhere: the friends list, the card and your messages
  • Discord friends now show the date you became friends, their guild tag, profile badges and connected accounts. If they have Steam linked, you can see it. Browsing a Discord server you share with someone now works. Voice channels are not possible, because Discord will not give an app like this the access needed to join a call
  • Favorites. Star a game from the details panel and it appears in a new Favorites tile in your library. Stars are kept on disk, so nothing is lost if early access lapses

✦ New for Everyone

Friends

  • The friend details panel was rebuilt. It is now a card with drawers. The top is the person: avatar, name, online status and their live activity, with artwork behind it all. In a game, you get that game's hero art. Offline with games in common, you get a collage of those games. Otherwise their Steam profile background or Discord banner, animated ones included. Beside their name: how long you have been friends, their guild tag, and how many games you have in common
  • One clear next step. The action row offers Join, Launch, Install or Go to store depending on what they are playing and what you own. If nothing is possible, a short sentence says why
  • Games in Common. Every game you both own as a row of covers you can scroll through. Pick one to open its details, launch it, or invite your friend to it
  • Invite a friend into a game. On Steam this sends a real Steam invite, even for a game you are not running. Discord, Xbox and PlayStation do not let outside apps send game invites, so the card offers to message your friend instead
  • Winhanced keeps a quiet record of what it sees your friends playing on every platform. After a week you have a real picture of what someone actually plays. It only counts what Winhanced saw while it was open, which is why it says "seen" and not "played"

OneXPlayer 3 (new device)

  • The OneXPlayer 3 is now a fully supported handheld. With device control on, Winhanced takes over from OneXConsole and its background layer, and hands everything back when you switch it off
  • TDP that sticks. OneXConsole's background layer was quietly putting the power limit back to its own values minutes after you set yours. Winhanced now ends that layer properly, so the limit you set is the limit you get
  • Fan control. A temperature-driven fan curve, the same control every other supported handheld gets. Winhanced proves it can drive the fan before offering it. If it cannot, the device stays on its own firmware curve rather than getting a control that does nothing
  • RGB lighting. The stick rings light from Winhanced with the same layouts, effects and per-game switching as other devices, including a different color for the left and right stick
  • Vibration. Rumble intensity is adjustable from the Controller tab, across five levels
  • Full controller remapping. Every button, not just the paddles: M1 and M2 back paddles, the top left button, Home and G, the keyboard button, the Xbox button, and all sixteen standard buttons. Standard buttons are written into the controller's firmware, and the rest go through Winhanced's own bindings. The Xbox button stays the Guide button until you rebind it
  • The Controller tab shows the OneXPlayer 3's own graphic with buttons grouped the way they sit on the device, and lighting, vibration and remaps survive sleep and a controller reconnect

Power limits, rebuilt for every handheld

  • Every supported device now has one entry holding its whole power picture: its lowest wattage, its Silent, Balanced and Performance presets, and its ceiling. Those numbers used to live in ten different places
  • Presets now change between battery and plugged in, because on real hardware they do. Armoury Crate's Turbo is 25W on battery and 35W plugged in
  • Every wattage now has to say where it came from: measured on the hardware, taken from the maker's own modes, or worked out from the chip
  • Balanced now sits where the chip is genuinely most efficient. On most modern handheld chips that is 15W to 17W. Older chips struggle below 20W, so theirs sit higher
  • The base ROG Ally got its TDP control back, and the base ROG Xbox Ally, OneXPlayer Apex, OneXFly F1 and F1 Pro, and GPD Win Mini all have proper entries now. Some had none before, and the OneXFly was never even recognized
  • The MSI Claw 8 AI+ Balanced preset moved from 20W to 17W, to match MSI. The MSI Claw A8 slider now goes down to 8W like every other Claw instead of stopping at 15W
  • Winhanced now refuses to guess for hardware it does not recognize, instead of inventing a limit for it
  • Device control is offered during setup when Winhanced recognizes your chip, not only when it recognizes the exact model
  • The app's leftover copies of the old TDP and overlay code were deleted. They were switched off but still there, which explains some of the random per-user oddities that popped up over time

Legion Go

  • Original Legion Go 1 controllers (pre-2025 firmware) now get RGB lighting and vibration
  • The Legion Go S gets RGB lighting
  • Legion Go 2 paddle remaps now actually take effect on 2025 firmware. They were being acknowledged and ignored. The Go 2's five extra buttons are now read too
  • Controller vibration intensity can be set on Legion controllers with 2025 or newer firmware
  • The status pill shows each detached controller's own battery, with animated transitions

Controller settings

  • The Controller tab is organized around features now. The list on the left has what your controller can do (remap, lighting, vibration) and the editor sits on the right. RGB lighting moved out of General settings into the Controller tab, with its own scope selector
  • Profiles get a condensed dropdown, and reset and delete are separate actions
  • A circled chevron now marks anything that opens something, app-wide

Drivers and updates

  • Update Center now covers Lenovo. It reads Lenovo's own support catalog for your exact machine type (Go 1, Go S and Go 2), installs packages silently, and never recommends a BIOS older than the one you have
  • Driver installs show an elapsed clock and say when they are taking longer than usual. A silent install that fails falls back to a visible installer
  • Turning device control on shows each step live, and a failure gives you a pasteable report instead of a toggle that silently snaps back

Xbox and Game Pass

  • Xbox achievements are now fetched on demand, like every other library already was
  • A newly installed Xbox game appears without restarting Winhanced
  • Xbox metadata and artwork come from Microsoft's own catalog first

Library

  • Ownership changes (a purchase, a refund, leaving Game Pass) are picked up while Winhanced is running instead of only at launch
  • Winhanced now follows your primary display and rebuilds its layout, so docking to a TV fills the screen properly
  • Your custom artwork moved out of the cache folders. Clearing a cache can no longer take it with it
  • Lossless Scaling settings now follow the game. Whatever you set for a game is saved with it and put back when you launch it
  • Clear Cache now actually clears the library and lets the re-import that follows succeed
  • Apps and Other Games have their own caches now, so they survive a library rebuild
  • Steam is brought up once at startup instead of being guessed per game, so games that need the client no longer crash on a cold start

Sound, sleep and display

  • UI sounds clip or distort less on handheld speakers (it still happens occasionally and we are trying to figure out why)
  • Enhanced Sleep now sets its own wake and USB behavior instead of inheriting whatever the copied power plan came with
  • Widget artwork now survives a library refresh

Power and TDP

  • Fixed ASUS devices being sent a burst limit lower than their sustained limit
  • Fixed the ROG Flow Z13 being given a 45W limit from its chip family instead of its own 93W entry
  • Fixed the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and Claw A1M losing their second TDP slider
  • Fixed the ROG Xbox Ally X reporting a power limit as applied when the firmware had written nothing. A limit that does not land now says so
  • Fixed a single readback disagreement abandoning direct SMU control for the rest of the session
  • Fixed the OneXPlayer 3's power limit being reset by OneXConsole minutes after you set it

ROG Ally X

  • Fixed Dynamic TDP dying about eight seconds into a session and taking the overlay's live readings down with it
  • Fixed a power limit the handheld had already accepted being thrown away, which then broke TDP control for the rest of the session
  • Fixed the AC button opening Armoury Crate because device control would not stay switched on
  • Fixed the game bar not opening on this machine. Same cause as above
  • Fixed device control on ASUS timing out and reporting a failure while every step had actually succeeded

Settings and display

  • Fixed your settings file being scrambled when the app and the background service saved at the same time. They now take turns
  • A damaged settings file now repairs itself when the app starts. You no longer have to go find and delete anything yourself
  • Fixed a damaged settings file making your handheld show up as a generic PC, with device control, remapping and RGB quietly switched off
  • Fixed settings snapping back to an old value after a restart, including settings the background service owns reverting on every save
  • Fixed high refresh rate and VRR panels being locked to 60Hz after Winhanced sampled the display while it was idling. A stored 60Hz that sits below your panel's ceiling is cleared once, automatically
  • Fixed the desktop refresh rate being restored to an idle rate after a game changed the display mode

Sleep, power and sessions

  • Fixed Quick Resume not waking a game that Windows brings back to the front, so a running game is no longer labeled as suspended
  • Fixed turning Enhanced Sleep off freezing the machine for a minute
  • Fixed a suspended game being frozen on wake instead of before sleep on MSI and Lenovo handhelds
  • Fixed controller polling resuming too early when waking straight back into a game
  • Fixed every plug and unplug on a handheld writing to your settings file whether anything had changed or not
  • The background service no longer touches the overlay's shared memory during sleep and wake, which should make it more reliable across a sleep cycle

Your library

  • Fixed custom artwork on non-Steam shortcuts not surviving a restart
  • Fixed hidden games staying visible because the old library database was never retired
  • Fixed the widget showing zero hours and zero achievements for a game that had both, and the game title going missing from the widget
  • Fixed a hand-added emulator showing up as a second tile next to the one Winhanced detected
  • Fixed playtime and achievements never appearing for Game Pass catalog games
  • Fixed a library rendering empty forever after a bad schema stamp, which made people sign in to Steam over and over
  • Fixed Store apps being imported as Xbox games
  • Fixed a game with no logo crashing the app
  • Fixed adding a custom emulator locking the controller and forcing a hard restart
  • Fixed HowLongToBeat times coming back as N/A after the site renamed part of its address

Friends

  • Fixed PlayStation friends never being seen as playing a game you own. Every PSN friend showed Go to store, even for games already in your library
  • Fixed the friends list and the friend card disagreeing. The list would offer a working Launch button while the card said "Nothing to join" for the same person
  • Fixed Steam status text showing raw placeholder junk like %name% instead of the real value
  • Fixed an offline friend's shared-games collage being painted over a moment after it appeared
  • Fixed Discord friends disappearing after sleep, with an empty chat and a send error, until you restarted the app. Discord now reconnects on its own when the background service comes back
  • Fixed friendship date, guild tag and nickname being missing for the whole session on Discord friends

Controllers and drivers

  • Fixed the Y3 paddle being assigned to the wrong side on the Legion Go 2
  • Fixed the Legion device control restore that never worked
  • Fixed driver packages that declare a non-zero exit code as success being reported as failed
  • Fixed graphics driver installs being reported as failures when the display reset mid-install. You are offered a restart instead
  • Fixed Lenovo driver versions showing a stray "v" prefix, and drivers the Go 1 actually has installed going undetected

Interface

  • Fixed library tiles no longer taking controller focus
  • Fixed the title logo on the details panel flashing every time it opened
  • Fixed wishlist navigation not working until you had scrolled once
  • Fixed a tall item on the Recent row stretching the whole row instead of fitting inside it
  • Fixed the artwork behind every details card having square corners while the card on top of it was rounded
  • Fixed the four newest library rows not glowing on focus like the rest
  • Fixed the download progress overlay being buried under the HUD

✦ New Features

Winhanced 0.9.9.7 is a hotfix focused on your game library telling the truth. A failed or interrupted sync can no longer erase, blank or duplicate your games, and signing in to a storefront via settings now imports it without the need to restart.

Your Libraries

  • Every library settings page now has a Resync button that refreshes just that library, including your friends list where the platform has one
  • Winhanced now tells you when a store sign-in has expired and needs signing in again

Xbox and Game Pass

  • The Game Pass and xCloud catalog views can now be sorted by recently added and by leaving soon

Your Library

  • A failed or interrupted sync can no longer erase, hide, blank or duplicate your games. If a scan cannot finish, your library stays as it was
  • Fixed duplicate tiles in the library, most visibly duplicate emulators
  • Fixed playtime and achievement counts dropping to zero after a failed fetch. They only move forward now
  • Fixed descriptions, genres, artwork and covers being blanked by a later, thinner refresh
  • Hiding a game is now a display setting rather than a deletion, so anything hidden can be restored from Settings > Hidden Games
  • Recent Games now reflects what you last played rather than only what is installed

Signing In and Syncing

  • Fixed signing in to Steam, Xbox, Epic, GOG or PlayStation needing a restart before that library appeared
  • Fixed Epic quietly going dead partway through a session, so Epic games stopped updating until you restarted

Steam

  • Installed Steam games now launch from Steam's own launch configuration, which is quicker for games without Steam DRM

✦ Controller Navigation, Rebuilt

Winhanced 0.9.9.6 is a hotfix focused on reliability. It keeps your installed games, downloads, and controllers working correctly no matter what happens, and it rebuilds controller navigation from the ground up.

  • We rebuilt how the D-pad and sticks move around the app. Moving between games, tabs, panels, and settings now works the same way on every screen, so navigation feels consistent and predictable instead of getting stuck or jumping to the wrong place

Controllers & Devices

  • ROG Ally: fixed the Command Center and Armoury buttons firing twice per press, which made the task switcher or Game Bar open and then instantly close
  • ROG Ally: fixed stuttering in the controller RGB effects (Wave, Color Cycle, and Breathing). They now animate smoothly
  • Controller lighting and back-paddle button changes now retry if they don't reach the controller the first time, instead of quietly doing nothing
  • The mouse cursor now hides reliably while you use a controller and comes back the moment you move the mouse. This fixes it sticking on screen, reappearing on its own, or jumping to the middle of the screen
  • Fixed fan curves, the RGB switch, and other device controls sometimes not showing up on hardware that supports them
  • Combined two behind-the-scenes settings that could disagree into a single, reliable Device Control switch

Display & Docking

  • Fixed the interface coming back the wrong size after docking or undocking an external monitor, or after a resolution or scaling change

Your Games & Downloads

  • A failed or interrupted library sync can no longer wipe or hide your installed games. If a scan can't finish, your games stay exactly as they were
  • Cancelling a download can no longer corrupt or delete a game you already have installed
  • Steam: fixed games being briefly shown as uninstalled while Steam updated them in the background
  • Steam: a download can no longer report success while part of it is still missing. If part of a download is lost, it now fails so a retry can finish it cleanly
  • Epic: installs that don't finish writing to disk no longer report success
  • Xbox: a failed library scan no longer leaves the wrong installed status stuck for up to a day

Game Launch

  • The launch screen now clears as soon as your game is on screen, and comes back for the exit animation, instead of lingering or covering the game

✦ Emulators & ROM Library

Winhanced 0.9.9.5 is a hotfix release focused on making emulated games just work, plus fixes for Legion Go fan curves and Xbox and PlayStation installed states.

  • Pressing Play now just works: if any installed emulator can play a ROM, Winhanced finds it and launches the game
  • Emulators you add yourself with Add Custom Emulator now make your ROMs playable, not just show up as tiles
  • Hundreds of community-verified launch profiles added across 43 consoles, so many more emulators work out of the box (melonDS, DeSmuME, Lime3DS, Panda3DS, and more)
  • If RetroArch is installed but a console's core is missing, Winhanced now downloads the core for you with one click instead of sending you to the RetroArch website
  • If a game needs an emulator you don't have, the download button now takes you to that emulator's official page
  • The emulator picker in game options now shows which emulators are actually installed
  • Emulators kept in custom folders (like an Emulation folder) are now detected automatically, and adding one custom emulator teaches Winhanced where to find the rest of them

Winhanced 0.9.9.4 opens the Store to everyone, debuts the new Emulators ROM library in early access, and brings a wave of device, library, and quality-of-life fixes across the board.

Your retro collection, treated like a first-class game library.

  • Import your ROM folders and browse them by console, with real box art and metadata filled in automatically from an offline catalog
  • RetroAchievements support: sign in once in Emulator library settings and earn achievements in-game, with your progress shown on each game's details panel and on the home screen
  • Recent Games now shows each game's true box shape: a square Game Boy cover sits next to a tall Steam cover on a clean shelf line, with the focus ring smoothly resizing between them
  • Choose which emulator runs each game with per-game overrides, and redesigned console tiles make each system easy to spot

App and Emulator Libraries: Now for Everyone

Both libraries graduate out of Early Access. Every Winhanced user gets them now.

Apps Library

  • Scan and add any app you want, Progressive Web Apps included, into a dedicated App Library that sits separate from the Other Library
  • Head to Settings → Libraries → Apps and pick "Scan apps". The dialog mirrors the manual games library: search for and check anything you want launchable from Winhanced. The tab only appears once you've added at least one app

Emulator Library

  • Winhanced natively detects and auto-imports from a list of 108 emulators on first scan if it finds them installed on your system
  • Settings → Libraries → Emulators shows everything Winhanced picked up, plus a manual scanner for anything the auto-detect missed (same dialog as the App scanner)
  • Note: Winhanced does not import or display your ROMs the way an emulator frontend would. It launches the emulator directly, or your existing frontend like Emulation Station

Apps and Emulators are both treated more like shortcuts than full game launches, so your native emulator apps and their button mappings don't get overwritten by Winhanced.

✦ Performance & Memory

  • Much smoother library scrolling. Every game tile used to re-render its entire card off-screen just to draw its shadow. Tiles now share a single shadow, so scrolling stays smooth
  • Specular highlight tiles are far lighter on the GPU. The glossy edge effect no longer spins up a separate GPU surface for every tile, it's created only when actually needed, so leaving the effect on no longer costs you frames while scrolling
  • Box art no longer re-decodes when you scroll back. Artwork you've already seen is cached to fit the whole library, so re-scrolling is instant instead of re-decoding each image
  • Lower input latency while navigating. Controller polling is now much faster (50 ms to 4 ms) for snappier menu movement
  • Fixed a freeze when scrolling quickly past animated game art. The app could lock up entirely while navigating fast through the library, it now stays responsive
  • Fixed a large memory leak from animated box art. Animated tiles were leaving graphics decoders behind on every Recent Games refresh, ballooning memory over repeated launch/close cycles. Memory now stays flat and returns to baseline

⬡ Game Launching & Sessions

  • More reliable game-exit detection. Fixed a bug where a game could be reported as "exited" a few seconds after launch, and stopped the app from double-counting a single close
  • Cleaner exit visuals. The game's splash artwork now stays visible through the exit animation, the window no longer flashes when restoring from fullscreen, and the shrink animation collapses the artwork, dim, and overlay together as one piece
  • Widget keeps tracking a still-running game. If you close one game while another is still open, the HUD widget now stays pointed at the game that's still running instead of going blank
  • Suspend Game no longer freezes Steam or launchers. Suspending a quick-resume game could accidentally freeze Steam, other launchers, or OS processes. Added guards so only the actual game is suspended

AutoPilot Dynamic TDP v5

  • The headliner. Dynamic TDP got another pass on the platform side and it's noticeably smarter, better target tracking, fewer "wait why is it doing that" moments, and it plays nicer with everything else AutoPilot is juggling

The App Stays Snappy, Session After Session

  • Hard to demo but you'll feel it. There was a slow drip of resources getting left behind every time you launched and exited a game. Stack enough sessions on top of each other and the app would start feeling sluggish, menus would get laggy, things would just... not be right
  • Big cleanup pass across the entire game lifecycle, leaks plugged. If you tend to do long marathon sessions and you've noticed the app getting tired toward the end, you should notice the difference immediately
  • Note: there are still some leaks on the platform side that we're actively plugging up as well, so slowdowns can still occur, BUT it's better, and the goal is to have this completely resolved by next patch

Steam Direct-Mode Downloads & Updates

  • If you've been downloading or updating Steam games inside Winhanced and things felt slow or didn't work, this one's for you
  • Updates now apply in place properly, cancelling a download mid-way won't leave your install in a weird half-broken state, and download speed has been improved

Lossless Scaling: Finally Behaves Itself

  • LS now properly turns on and off with the game you're playing, and auto-restores when your game launches if you have it saved to on in the game's profile
  • Much better at handing off the proper window to Lossless Scaling, so it turns on more consistently
  • Added the HDR toggle to the Winhanced HUD so that Lossless Scaling setting is togglable from inside Winhanced too

PlayStation Library: Direct Import & Console Launch

  • PlayStation library support graduates from Early Access. Sign in with your PSN credentials and Winhanced pulls your full library into a dedicated section, the same way Steam, Xbox, Epic, and GOG already do
  • This is separate from the existing PlayStation Remote Play tile, it's a real library
  • You can't install or run PlayStation games locally, but the library isn't just box art either. Open the details panel for any game installed on your PS5 and hit Play. Winhanced wakes the console over the internet, launches the title, then opens a Remote Play session via Chiaki
  • Note: requires Chiaki installed and configured on your handheld. Setup walkthrough lives at Settings → Libraries → PlayStation

Specular Highlights Toggle

  • New toggle under Settings → General to disable the recently added specular highlight effect
  • Highlights only render while the launcher is foregrounded (paused in-game and when alt-tabbed), but the toggle is there for users running tight battery budgets

Controller Navigation Polish

  • Friends Hub and Settings got a focus-order pass for smoother, more consistent controller traversal
  • The right panel of every Settings menu now scrolls with the right stick

✦ Early Access

Apps Library

  • Scan and add any installed app, including Progressive Web Apps, to a new dedicated App Library that sits separately from the Other Library
  • Head to Settings → Libraries → Apps and pick "Scan apps". The dialog mirrors the manual games library: search for and check any app you want launchable from Winhanced
  • The App Library tab only appears once you've added at least one app

Emulator Library

  • Winhanced now natively detects and auto-imports from a list of 108 emulators on first scan
  • Settings → Libraries → Emulators lists everything Winhanced picked up, with a manual scanner for anything that didn't make it into the auto-detect list (same dialog as the App scanner)
  • Note: Winhanced does not import or display ROMs the way an emulator frontend would. It launches the emulator (or your existing frontend like Emulation Station) directly
  • Apps and Emulators are both treated as shortcuts rather than full game launches, so your native emulator apps and their button mappings stay untouched by Winhanced

  • This is a feature patch. The pending Legion Go 2 fixes and the Xbox Ally X device-misidentification reports are still in progress, expect updates on both fronts in the next build

Redesigned First-Run Onboarder

  • The first-run setup got a full visual rewrite. Five focused steps: Welcome, Device, Libraries, Customize, Done
  • New dynamic backdrop tinted by your Windows accent color, real device renders for every supported device, and controller-driven navigation throughout
  • Per-step micro-interactions make first-run setup feel smoother and more seamless

System Accent Theme & In-App Color Picker

  • Backdrop and accent highlights retint live to match your Windows accent color
  • The Customize step in the onboarder and Settings → General both include a 48-color picker that overrides just within Winhanced
  • Pick a color and the entire UI follows, generating a dynamic 3-color theme backdrop based on your selection

Adaptive Display Scaling

  • Big rewrite under the hood. The launcher now scales as a single canvas with one root transform instead of compensating per-element
  • UI fills any aspect ratio (16:9, 16:10, 21:9 ultrawide) without letterboxing or weird text sizing bugs
  • Game details panel respects the footer and sizes canvas-relative
  • Seven of the widest dialogs (game options, batch import, Steam QR, etc.) got proper width caps so they never stretch off-screen

Per-Game Executable Path & Launch Arguments

  • Game Options on any tile now exposes two new fields: an Executable Path override and Custom Launch Arguments
  • Point a game at a modded .exe, alt build, or custom launcher, with per-game command line support
  • Hidden for Xbox UWP titles where the package family drives launch
  • Steam shows a heads-up if your override would break overlay injection

Friends Hub

  • Live presence from Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Discord shows who's online, what they're playing, and whether you own the same game (the new "Ready to Play" tile)
  • Friend Details panel surfaces Games in Common
  • Party invites are wired through the Discord Social SDK with native invite cards
  • Voice-call foundations are in place, with full controller navigation throughout
  • Discord Rich Presence broadcasts "Playing X via Winhanced" the moment a game launches, independent of Friends Hub itself
  • Note: non-Early-Access users will still see the existing Discord tab in the same slot. The Friends tab swaps in live the moment your entitlement updates, no app restart required

⬡ Bug Fixes

Library

  • Steam was re-downloading entire language packs (~24 GB on multi-language titles) every update. Depot enumeration now filters by your selected language to match the Steam client's actual behavior
  • PlayStation token refresh occasionally lost the AccountId field. Refresh path now heals missing account info by re-querying after token exchange
  • Game Pass catalog now flags entries that require Battle.net / Ubisoft Connect / EA / Riot / HoYoverse with an "Unsupported" badge, so the install button gates correctly instead of failing silently. Steam, native Xbox, and standalone Game Pass titles are unaffected

Performance

  • App hanging on game exit. New 15-second exit-grace period in the game monitor clears the stuck "Exiting game…" state if the launcher chain never reports a final exit
  • Game detection now latches onto titles that launch through nested launchers (Ubisoft Connect, EAC bootstrap, Steam to EA Desktop chains)
  • Game-exit dedup was holding stale events across session rotations and suppressing legitimate new exits. Now time-bound and cleared on session change

  • Note: Ubisoft Connect and EA Play titles through Game Pass will let you download but won't launch cleanly yet, they need more integration work. Steam, native Xbox, and standalone Game Pass titles are unaffected. Hopefully we'll have a solution for Ubi/EA in the next patch
