Winhanced v0.8 is here — and it’s one of our most significant updates yet. Built for Windows handheld gaming PCs, this version introduces a new Xbox Game Bar widget HUD, smarter game library management, stronger process monitoring, and compatibility with Microsoft’s Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE).
If you’re using devices like the Asus ROG Ally, ROG Ally X, Steam Deck (Windows), or Lenovo Legion Go, this release makes Winhanced smoother, faster, and more reliable as your go-to game launcher and performance manager.

The biggest change in Winhanced v0.8 is the brand-new HUD built directly into the Xbox Game Bar.

This change means Winhanced now feels even more natural on Windows handhelds, letting you manage games and performance seamlessly. This also means no more need for 2 different apps! With v0.8 we have officially sunset Winhanced Legacy.

Looking Ahead to Winhanced 1.0
This release sets the stage for the final stretch toward Winhanced 1.0. Our focus for the next version includes:

Polishing the interface and performance across every supported device.
Addressing edge cases where Winhanced may still need a restart (e.g., after game updates or certain launch dialogs). These will be resolved through ongoing community feedback and iteration.
Adding Lossless Scaling support — planned for 1.0, or shortly after in 1.1.
